The combined tour in Venice city and the lagoon is the perfect choice if you only have one day available for kayaking, but still want to experience both sides of Venice.
It is more or less the combination of a short tour in Venice and a short tour in the lagoon, merged together in a single package. The order of the two parts depends in part on the tide which is felt a lot more in the lagoon.
The tour starts on the Certosa island, meeting at 9:45am and starting kayaking around 10:30am.
The lagoon part will normally pass the Vignole islands until Lazzaretto Novo, and from there down through the marshes past the cemetery island of San Michele towards central Venice.
There is time for a lunch break in the middle of the tour.
The Venice city part is mostly in the smaller canals in the Sestiere Castello, past the Arsenale and San Pietro di Castello, returning that way to the Certosa.
The tour might be done the other way around, depending on weather and tide.
Groups can be up to 6 persons. Larger groups can be arranged, but must be agreed upon well in advance, as we have to find an assistant guide for larger groups.
Private tours are available on request, if booked well in advance.
Mixed Venice/lagoon tours are schedule regularly from late March to late October. They can be done outside the main season too, daylight hours permitting.
