Cancellation

Venice Kayak requires a deposit to accept a booking, and full payment two weeks before the tour.

In case of cancellation Venice Kayak will refund the deposit in part or in full, as follows:

  • If the client cancels the tour 30 or more days before the agreed date, Venice Kayak refunds the entire amount paid less the expenses incurred receiving the payment. These expenses depend on how the payment is made.
  • If the client cancels later than 30 days before the tour, or doesn’t show up for the appointment, Venice Kayak refunds the entire amount paid, less the 25% deposit or €75, whichever is less.
  • If Venice Kayak cancels the tour for whatever reason we’ll refund the entire amount paid, with no deductions.

Venice Kayak will cancel the tour

  • if the winds are too strong for the paddling skills of the group,
  • if there’s a risk of lightning or tornadoes,
  • or if the guides fall ill and no substitutes can be found.

A cancellation on behalf of Venice Kayak is entirely the decision of the guide in charge of the tour. Cancellation can happen based on the local weather forecast for the day, or on the guide’s judgement of the actual weather situation.

If the weather is poor, we will try out utmost to reschedule the tours in cooperation with the client.
