Find Venice Kayak from Piazzale Roma / Ferrovia

From the train station of Venice or from the bus terminal at Piazzale Roma the easiest route is to take the vaporetto 51 or 61 to Lido S.M.E., and then the bus A to S. Nicolò, which is 300m from the camp site.

The vaporetto stops are in front of the S. Lucia station on the Canal Grande,  and on the Canal Grande side of Piazzale Roma.  They are very hard to miss.

At the Piazzale Roma the lines 51 and 61 depart from the middle of the three vaporetto platforms. The trip takes circa 35 minutes, and requires a normal vaporetto ticket or a valid Venice Connected pass.

Each line runs a 20 minutes schedule, and taken together there is approximately a departure every 10 minutes. Line 61 has fewer stops along the way then the 51, but they still take more or less the same time.

Both lines take a tour south of the city to S. Marco before continuing to the Lido S.M.E., which is the central bus and vaporetto terminal on the Lido di Venezia.

Disembark at Lido S.M.E. and take the bus A in the direction of S. Nicolò.  The trip takes circa 5 minutes, and requires a normal bus ticket or a valid Venice Connected pass.

Please refer to the “Find Venice Kayak from the Lido di Venezia” page for all the details of the bus terminal at Lido S.M.E. and the bus ride.
